The Story of Igbo Union of Canada

The Igbo Union of Canada is a community-based organization determined to advance the course of Igbo people and essentially propagate the Igbo culture around the world. The core aim of Igbo Union is to unite all Igbo people in Canada and bring to bear the traditional Igbo fellowship.

Over the years we have worked with volunteers, donors, and local partners to bring real change to our communities. We believe every child and family deserves opportunity, culture, and a future worth dreaming about — and that is what we work for every day.

Our history is built on the dedication of members and leaders who have given their time and resources to strengthen the Igbo community in Canada. From cultural events and youth programs to support for families and partnerships with local organizations, we continue to grow and serve.

  • Uniting Igbo people across Canada under one umbrella

  • Preserving and promoting Igbo culture and language

  • Supporting community development and fellowship
