The Igbo Union of Canada is a community based organization determined to advance the course of Igbo people and propagate the Igbo culture around the world.

IUC brings together people of Igbo heritage across Canada to celebrate our culture, support our members, and pass on our language and traditions. Through events, education, and community programs we keep our heritage alive and share it with the next generation.
We run cultural events, language initiatives, and community gatherings that honour Igbo traditions and create a strong sense of belonging. Our programs include cultural festivals, storytelling, music and dance, and support for Igbo language learning.
Culture & Heritage at IUC means connecting members to their roots, creating spaces where Igbo identity is celebrated, and ensuring our children grow up knowing their language and traditions. We work with volunteers and partners across Canada to make this possible.
